The Lady Storm got a much needed win on Sunday afternoon. TCC defeated Lord Fairfax Community College, 62-52 to improve their VCCS conference record to 1-2. The Lady Storm, who had been getting closer and closer to victory over the past several games, finally got over the preverbal hump with balanced scoring and breakout offensive efforts.

Freshman Octavia Mills scored a career high 15 points on Sunday, making shots from all over the court. Sophomores Danielle Brown and Cat Wilson provided a tough inside presence scoring 20 and 18 points respectively. The Lady Storm were very tough on the offensive and defensive boards as well as mentally tough to withstand a late second half surge by the Lady Cannons.

This weekend, the Lady Storm will look to build on this success when they travel to Hampton to face Thomas Nelson Community College.
