Scholarships @ TCC
- The TCC Scholarship Application and Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) can be picked up from the campus Financial Aid Office, or fill out a FAFSA online using TCC College Code 003712 at http://www.fafsa.ed.gov/
- Information regarding the approximate monetary value of each scholarship can be obtained from the Financial Aid Office after May 1.
- The priority application deadline for scholarships, unless otherwise noted, is April 1 prior to the award year.
- To ensure your application for scholarship is complete, please register during Priority Registration.
- Application may be accepted after April 1st or until all scholarship funds are awarded.
- A "Thank you" letter must be attached to all completed scholarship applications.

| Careers Through Culinary Arts Program (C-CAP) |
Description:
This scholarship is offered in recognition of outstanding achievement in the Careers through Culinary Arts Program. |
Criteria:
Recipients must meet TCC admissions requirements
Must maintain at least a 2.0 GPA while enrolled
Scholarship funds are only valid at TCC's downtown Norfolk Campus for the 2-year culinary program leading to an Associates Degree |

| James Green Martin, Jr. Scholarship |
Description:
Established by Catherine Martin Willcox in honor of her father James Green Martin, Jr. Two scholarships will be awarded annually and will be applicable to tuition, fees, books, and other academic expenses. |
Criteria:
Recipient must be a student from the Thomas W. Moss, Jr. Campus
Must have a GPA of 3.0 or higher

| The John R. Moore Memorial History Scholarship |
Description:
Established by Mrs. John R. Moore to honor her late husband, Professor John R. Moore, who taught American History at TCC's Norfolk Campus. Two scholarships will be awarded annually and will be applicable to tuition, fees, books. |
Criteria:
a. Available to full time or part time students pursuing an AA degree, with the intention to transfer to a four-year school (see C).
b. The applicant must have completed 24 credit hours in the Humanities, Sciences or Social Sciences. At least six of the 24 credits should be in History with a 3.5 grade point average in the History courses. (In the case of no other eligible applicants, a GPA of 3.0 will be considered.) Exceptions to the credit hours and GPA can be made at the discretion of the History faculty.
c. The applicant must intend to further their degree at a four-year institution.
d. Student should submit an essay with scholarship application stating their educational goals as they
relate to the field of History.

Description:
The Norfolk Campus General Scholarship was established through donations to the Tidewater Community College Educational Foundation. Scholarship funds may be used for tuition, fees, books. |
Enrolled in a degree or certificate program
• Continuing student (minimum of 6 completed credits)
Cumulative GPA 2.5
• Scholarship is for tuition, fees, and/or books
• Funds to be equally awarded in two semesters
• Must be currently enrolled at TCC
• Amount of scholarship award per student not to exceed tuition, fees, and/or books
• Scholarship to be awarded fall, spring or summer semesers
• Letter of recommendation is required with application from one of the following:
TCC faculty member, faculty from another institution, or employer. |

Description:
Established in December 1998 by The TOWN Foundation. This scholarship's goal is to assist students with demonstrated academic ability who lack sufficient financial means to continue his/her course(s) of study at the Tidewater Community College Norfolk Campus. |
Criteria:
enrolled in a minimum of 9 credit hours per regular semester
financial need
student must send acknowledgement letter to donor at time of award |
