| American Association of University Women Scholarship |
Description:
The Portsmouth Branch of AAUW established this scholarship in the Fall of 1991 to provide financial assistance to a returning woman student enrolled at the Portsmouth Campus of TCC. This scholarship is awarded annually and is applicable to tuition/fees, books, transportation, and child care. |
Criteria:
student must attend the Portsmouth campus of Tidewater Community College and live in Portsmouth or the Western Branch area of Chesapeake
student must be a returning student who has completed 12 hours
student must be a female student at least 22 years of age
Students must have a GPA of at least 3.0
Student must have evidence of financial need
Student must have a goal of completing a baccalaureate degree and submit an essay describing her educational goals. |

| Beazley Foundation Nursing Scholarship |
Description:
Fred Beazley wanted to give back to the community that gave so much to him while he was growing up. Thus, the Beazley Foundation was born.
Mr. Beazley had a warm spot in his heart for young people who were less fortunate than he. The initial programs of the Foundation involved building and operating recreation centers and a dental clinic with an emphasis on the youth of the City.Today, the Foundation continues its concentration in these areas as well as the other areas for which Mr. Beazley had a passion, education and human services. |
Criteria:
Student must be pursuing a Nursing degree at Tidewater Community College
Student can be a full-time or part-time student
Student must demonstrate financial need
Students from Portsmouth will be given preference unless other applicants demonstrate a greater financial need and/or academic performance/potential |

| Fred W. Beazley Scholarship |
Description:
The present location of the Portsmouth Campus of TCC was the site of Frederick College, named for Frederick W. Beazley, an outstanding citizen of Portsmouth for forty years. The Frederick Foundation was established in honor of this public-spirited family and benefactor of the original col-lege. This scholarship is applicable to tuition and fees only. |

Resident of Chesapeake, Portsmouth, Norfolk, Suffolk, or Virginia Beach
Home campus must be Portsmouth Campus
Full-time or part-time student
If new student, an ability to benefit from a program of instruction
If continuing student, a GPA of 3.5 or higher

| Holly Hogge Biagioni Memorial Nursing Scholarship |
Description:
The Holly Hogge-Biagioni Scholarship was established in 1984 by the Tidewater Community College Board in honor of Holly Hogge, a 1976 graduate of the Associate Degree Nursing Program. This scholarship is awarded annually by the Department of Nursing. |
Criteria:
Continuing student (24 credit hours earned in the Nursing Program over two semesters)
GPA of 3.5 or higher
Satisfactory clinical progress
Evidence of financial need |

| Gerontology Nursing Scholarship |
Description:
The Gerontological Nursing Scholarship was established in March, 2007 by the disbanded Geronotological Nursing Leaders group. Scholarship funds may be used for tuition, fees, books, and other costs associated with the nursing program. |
Criteria:
Student must be pursuing a Nursing degree at Tidewater Community College’s Portsmouth Campus.
Student can be a full-time or part-time student.
Though not a requirement for awarding, preference will be given to students who submit an essay indicating their interest in gerontological nursing.
Student must have an overall GPA of 2.5. |

| Ethelyn Hardesty Morgan Scholarship |
Description:
Established in memory of Mrs. Ethelyn Morgan, this scholarship is intended for exceptional students enrolled in either the A.A. degree in Liberal Arts or the A.S. degree in Social Sciences within the Languages, Mathematics and Sciences Division on the Portsmouth Campus. This scholarship is applicable to tuition/fees only. |
Criteria:
Enrolled in either the A.A degree in Liberal Arts or the A.S. degree in Social Sciences in the Languages and Math/Sciences Division
Full-time student (minimum of 12 credit hours per semester)
A recent (within two years) high school graduate of a Portsmouth high school
Qualify for in-state tuition and have Portsmouth as the campus of record
Continuing student (no more than 30 credit hours completed)
GPA of 3.0 or higher at TCC
Maintain GPA of 3.0 while receiving scholarship
Scholarship to be awarded in fall (by October 1) of student’s second year for use in spring semester |

Description:
Established in June 1989 by Portsmouth physicians to the TCC Nursing Program. |
Criteria:
• Enrolled in Nursing Program
• Resident of Portsmouth, Chesapeake or Suffolk, Virginia
• Full-time student or part-time student
• Continuing student or new student
• Satisfactory academic performance
• Financial need
• Student must attend Portsmouth Academy of Medicine's annual dinner or meet with the Director of Nursing at Maryview Hospital |

| Portsmouth Campus General Scholarship |
Description:
The Portsmouth Campus General Scholarship was established through donations to the Tidewater Community College Educational Foundation. Scholarship funds may be used for tuition, fees, books. |
Criteria:
• Enrolled in a degree or certificate program
• Continuing student (minimum of 6 completed credits)
• Cumulative GPA 2.5
• Scholarship is for tuition, fees, and/or books
• Funds to be equally awarded in two semesters
• Must be currently enrolled at TCC
• Amount of scholarship award per student not to exceed tuition, fees, and/or books
• Scholarship to be awarded fall, spring or summer semesers
• Letter of recommendation is required with application from one of the following:
TCC faculty member, faculty from another institution, or employer

Description:
These scholarships are awarded yearly to academically outstanding students whose home campus is Portsmouth. Three students may receive this scholarship annually. |
Criteria:
GPA of 3.5 or higher
Pursuing one of the colleges degree programs
Full-time student (minimum of 12 credit hours per semester)
Continuing student (24 credit hours completed) |

| Portsmouth Lions Disabilaties Scholarship |
Description:
Established in July 2003 by the Portsmouth Host District 24 — D Lions Club International |
Criteria:
• Must be documented as a Portsmouth Campus student of TCC
• Must be enrolled in a minimum of 9 credit hours and have attended TCC in at least one prior semester
• Must have a minimum GPA of 2.5
• Must have documentation on file with Disability Services meeting TCC guidelines for disability.
• Must be documented as legally blind or as learning disabled with a significant weakness in reading word recognition relative to ability.
• Must be willing to share the receipt of the scholarship through print and electronic TCC publications
• Must submit an end-of-year progress report outlining his/her individual accomplishments and detailing how the scholarship helped him/her achieve those accomplishments.

| Portsmouth Lions Service Learning Scholarship |
Description:
Established in July 2003 by the Portsmouth Host District 24 — D Lions Club International |
Criteria:
• Each student who applies for the scholarship shall submit an application including statements, records, etc., to verify that they meet the following criteria.
• The student's previous service-learning work should have been performed in a recognized service-learning course (that is, a course/courses registered with the Service-Learning Office that were accompanied by an approved course o
• Student must have performed at least 20 hours of service-learning at the time of application
1. as documented by service logs signed by the supervisor
2. accompanied by his/her cumulative reflection paper or journal for that
service, and
3. shall explain his/her plans to continue providing service to the Portsmouth
community in the future, in as much detail as possible
• Student must either have a GPA of 2.0 or have successfully passed any recent non-credit courses plus have at least a C average in credit classes.
• The student, upon coompletion of the semester, but no later than 30 days after final exams, shall deliver to the Lions Club and to the Service-Learning Office a final reflection paper of no fewer than 500 words, explaining the significance of their experiences that semester as a result of having received the scholarship. The student further agrees to attend a Lions Club meeting and read his/her paper.

Description:
Named for a former Nursing faculty member, this award honors the nursing student who demonstrates the greatest improvement in clinical performance during his/her two years in the TCC Nursing Program. This scholarship is awarded annually during the Pinning Ceremony. |

| Raymond Lancaster Williams Scholarship |
Description:
This scholarship was established by the estate of Dorothy Williams in memory of her husband Raymond Lancaster Williams. This scholarship will be awarded annually. |
