| American Association of University Women - Portsmouth Branch Scholarship |
Description:
This scholarship was established by the Portmouth Branch of the AAUW to provide financial assistance to returning women students enrolled at TCC's Portsmouth Campus. The funds can be applied to tuition, books, transportation, and child care. |
Criteria:
Student must attend the Portsmouth campus of Tidewater Community College and live in Portsmouth or the Western Branch area of Chesapeake
Student must be a returning student who has completed 12 hours
Student must be a female student at least 22 years of age
Students must have a GPA of at least 3.0
Student must have evidence of financial need
Student must have a goal of completing a baccalaureate degree and submit an essay describing her educational goals. |

| Beazley Foundation Nursing Scholarship |
Description:
This scholarship was established by the Beazley Foundation in 2006 to support students enrolled in TCC's Nursing program. The Beazley Foundation was founded by Fred Beazley, a Portsmouth businessman who wanted to contribute to the needs of his community, specifically the youth. The scholarship funds should be applied to tuition, fees, and books. |
Criteria:
Student must be pursuing a Nursing degree at Tidewater Community College
Student can be a full-time or part-time student
Student must demonstrate financial need
Students from Portsmouth will be given preference unless other applicants demonstrate a greater financial need and/or academic performance/potential |

Doug Barner Fine Arts Scholarship |
Description:
This scholarship was established by the family and friends of Doug Barner, an artist who was active in his Virginia Beach community and died suddenly in October 2007. The scholarship funds should be applied to tuition, fees, books, and other expenses associated with taking classes at the Visiual Arts Center.
Criteria:
• Pursuing a painting, drawing, or photography degree at the Visual Arts Center
• Full-time or part-time student
• Not yet met the cost of attendance for the year
• If recipient is a continuing student, student must have an overall GPA of 2.5
• If recipient is a new student, student must have a high school GPA of 2.8

| Ethelyn Hardesty Morgan Scholarship |
Description:
This scholarship was established in 1982 in memory of Mrs. Ethelyn Morgan to support exceptional students seeking their A.A. degree in Liberal Arts or an A.S. degree in Social Sciences within the Languages, Mathematics, and Sciences Division at TCC's Portsmouth Campus. The funds should be applied to tuition and fees. |
Criteria:
Enrolled in either the A.A degree in Liberal Arts or the A.S. degree in Social Sciences in the Languages and Math/Sciences Division
Full-time student (minimum of 12 credit hours per semester)
Recipient must be a recent graduate of a local high school
Qualify for in-state tuition and have Portsmouth as the campus of record
Continuing student (no more than 30 credit hours completed)
GPA of 3.0 or higher at TCC
Maintain GPA of 3.0 while receiving scholarship
Scholarship to be awarded in fall (by October 1) of student’s second year for use in spring semester |

Description:
This scholarship was established by the Frederick Foundation, now a part of the Beazley Foundation, to support students at TCC's Portsmouth Campus. The funds should be applied to tuition and fees. |
Criteria:
Resident of Chesapeake, Portsmouth, Norfolk, Suffolk, or Virginia Beach
Home campus must be Portsmouth Campus
Full-time or part-time student
If new student, an ability to benefit from a program of instruction
If continuing student, a GPA of 3.5 or higher
Qualify for in-state tuition
Greatest financial need if all applicants meet above criteria |

| Holly Hogge-Biagioni Memorial Nursing Scholarship |
Description:
This scholarship was established in 1984 by the TCC College Board in honor of Holly Hogge, a 1976 graduate of the Nursing program, to support Nursing students. |
Criteria:
Continuing student (24 credit hours earned in the Nursing Program over two semesters)
GPA of 3.5 or higher
Satisfactory clinical progress

| Portsmouth Academy of Medicine Foundation Scholarship |
Description:
This scholarship was established by the physicians of the Portsmouth Academy of Medicine Foundation in 1989 to support students in TCC's Nursing program. |
Criteria:
• Enrolled in Nursing Program
• Resident of Portsmouth, Chesapeake or Suffolk, Virginia
• Full-time student or part-time student
• Continuing student or new student
• Satisfactory academic performance
• Financial need
• Student must attend Portsmouth Academy of Medicine's annual dinner or meet with the Director of Nursing at Maryview Hospital |

| Portsmouth Campus General Scholarship |
Description:
This scholarship was established through donations to the Tidewater Community College Educational Foundation. Scholarship funds should be applied to tuition, fees, and books. |
Criteria:
• Must be currently enrolled in a degree or certificate program at TCC
• Continuing student (minimum of 6 completed credits)
• Cumulative GPA 2.5
• Funds to be equally awarded in two semesters
• Scholarship to be awarded fall, spring or summer semesters
• Letter of recommendation is required with application from one of the following:
TCC faculty member, faculty from another institution, or employer |

Description:
This scholarship was established by the Portsmouth Community Foundation in 1988 to support academically oustanding students at TCC's Portsmouth Campus. The funds should be applied to tuition and fees. |

GPA of 3.5 or higher
Pursuing one of the colleges degree programs
Full-time or part-time student

| Portsmouth Lions Disabilities Scholarship |
Description:
This scholarship was stablished by the Portsmouth Host Lions Club in 2003 to support a student with disabilities at TCC's Portsmouth Campus. The funds can be applied to tuition, books, personal assistive technology, or transportation costs, excluding personal vehicles. |
Criteria:
• Must be documented as a Portsmouth Campus student of TCC
• Must be enrolled in a minimum of 9 credit hours and have attended TCC in at least one prior semester
• Must have a minimum GPA of 2.5
• Must have documentation on file with Disability Services meeting TCC guidelines for disability.
• Must be documented as legally blind or as learning disabled with a significant weakness in reading word recognition relative to ability.
• Must be willing to share the receipt of the scholarship through print and electronic TCC publications
• Must submit an end-of-year progress report outlining his/her individual accomplishments and detailing how the scholarship helped him/her achieve those accomplishments.

| Portsmouth Lions Visual Arts Center Scholarship |
Description:
This scholarship was established by the Portsmouth Host Lions Club in 2003 to support students studying at TCC's Visual Arts Center. The funds should be applied to tuition, books, and other costs associatied with the Studio Arts program in which the student is enrolled. |
Criteria:
• Enrolled in A.S. or A.A.S. degree program in Art, Photography, or Craft
• Enrolled in a minimum of six credit hours per regular semester
• Continuing student or new student
• GPA of 2.5 or higher |

Description:
This scholarship was established by Mrs. Dorothy Williams in memory of her husband and is intended to support students of the Portsmouth Campus. |

Description:
This scholarship was established in 2007 in memory of Ruth Pate, a long time employee of TCC's Portsmouth Campus.

Student must be pursuing a Nursing degree at Tidewater Community College’s Portsmouth Campus.
Student can be a full-time or part-time student.
Student must demonstrate financial need.
If a continuing student at TCC, student must have an overall GPA of 2.5 and a GPA of 2.8 in the nursing curriculum.
If a new student at TCC, student must have a high school GPA of 2.8.
Student must submit a brief paragraph on the following:
1. Describe your commitment to nursing.
2. What are your major nursing career interests and professional goals?

Description:
This scholarship is named in memory of a former TCC Nursing faculty member and is intended to honor the nursing student who demonstrates the greatest improvement in clinical performance during his/her two years in the TCC Nursing program. The scholarship is awarded annually during the Pinning Ceremony. |

| Suffolk Kiwanis Scholarship |
Description:
This scholarship was established by the Suffolk Kiwanis Club to support a TCC student who is a Suffolk resident. The funds should be applied to tuition and fees. |
Criteria:
Resident of Suffolk
Need-based with a minimum GPA of 3.0 if a continuing student
Full- or part-time student
A declared program of study (degree, diploma, or certificate)
