Important Notes:
- A transcript is a copy of your permanent record.
- An official
transcript carries the college seal and may only be obtained from the college's Central Records Office. Instructions for requesting an official transcript may be found below.
- Unofficial transcripts are available through the Student Information System (SIS).
After logging in, choose >> SA Self Service >> Learner Services >> Academics >> View Unofficial Transcript >> For Academic Institution select Tidewater Community College >> For Report Type select Unofficial Transcript >> Click GO
- Unofficial transcripts are not provided by the college's Central Records Office. Students unable to print their own unofficial transcripts through the method above should contact a campus Enrollment Services Office. Note that unofficial transcripts given or mailed directly to a student will not bear the college seal and will be stamped "ISSUED TO STUDENT".
- Transcripts will be not released if students have financial obligations to the college and/or have holds that prevent their release.
- Tidewater Community College policy does not allow e-mail transmission of transcript requests.
- Volume often requires three to five business days for processing with the exception of peak periods (beginning and end of semester, commencement, and registration) which may require five to seven business days.
- There is no fee charged for transcripts.
Steps to Request Official Transcripts
Currently Enrolled Students
Currently enrolled students are required to submit official transcript requests using the College's Student Information System (SIS). To submit an official transcript request, please follow the instructions below:
1) Login to SIS
2) Click on Self Service
3) Click on Student Center
4) Click on Request Official Transcript on the left menu bar.
5) For Academic Institution click on Tidewater Community College.
6) Select Processing Option from the drop-down menu.
7) Select Quantity to be sent.
8) Enter the Send to Name (NOTE: Enter the recipient name exactly as it should appear).
9) Click on Edit Address and enter the complete address, including the zip code. Next, click OK. (NOTE: Enter the recipient's address exactly as it should appear).
10) Review the information you have typed. Upon verification of accuracy, click SUBMIT. Former Students
Former students may be able to submit a request through the College's SIS using the instructions provided above. In doing so, their requests are received in a more timely manner, thereby resulting in quicker processing. If unable to submit a request through the SIS, former students may complete a Transcript Request form (linked below) and submit it to the Central Records Office via mail or fax. Instructions for this may be found below.
