I am a web designer for Digitalwave, Inc., which is a close-knit company that provides strategic web architecture and design solutions to higher education, non-profit, medical organizations and commercial businesses. I am involved in the concept development, user experience, front-end prototype and branding strategy during the design process. These were the disciplines in which I was most passionate during my learning experience at TCC and as an Industrial Design student at Virginia Tech.

I run a wedding and portrait photography company and am an adjunct instructor at TCC's Visual Arts Center, which has been an amazing experience. I love being in a learning environment. My students and I have embarked on learning and real world adventures with our research and photo projects. I especially love teaching History of Photography. I find myself thoroughly inspired by digging into the lives and works of many masters who came before me and those who are producing work today. I am actively pursuing my bachelor degree in Print and Photo media with a specialization in Education. I plan to continue my education to include a masters degree in Photography.

I enjoy teaching as an adjunct art instructor at the Visual Arts Center. Recently, I collaborated with a colleague to present the workshop, "Encaustic Discoveries," at EVMS's Art Therapy Studio. This two-day event was designed for art therapy students, faculty and community art therapy professionals. I also teach workshops in the Tidewater area. In my own work, I continue to explore mixed media and encaustic in new ways.

I was a graphic designer for a distributor of modern European furniture and textiles and provided front-end website development, branding, design and marketing materials for their affiliates along with showroom design and installation. Currently, I am working at a local architecture firm as their dedicated graphic designer. I provide renderings and marketing materials of various sizes and formats to showcase my company’s work to potential clients and owners.

I am currently pursuing my BFA in Graphic Design at Miami University in Oxford, OH. With the portfolio I created and the credits I earned at TCC, I was able to transfer into the Graphic Design program and procure an internship in the school's University Communications and Marketing Department. The internship has given me the opportunity to design everything from t-shirts to a display wall to advertise a new college program.
