| Disability Services Admissions
Process
Students with disabilities who wish to take classes at
Tidewater Community College should take the following steps:
- Submit
College Application
Complete a TCC application for
admission to the college and submit it to the Admissions
Center. Admission procedures for new students
- Make
Counseling Appointment
Make an appointment with
the Disability
Services Counselor, at least 45 days before classes
begin.
- Meet
with Counselor
Meet with
the Disability
Services Counselor.You will need to Bring documentation of your disability to the meeting with the counselor.
This documentation may be in the form of a report, or letter from your doctor. Please see the Guidelines for Documentation for specific information needed.
- Schedule
Placement Testing
If you require accommodations when you take the placement test, you must provide documentation described above.
- Contact
Counselor to Review Scores
Meet with the
Disability
Services Counselor to review your Placement Test
scores, to select courses, to plan your academic program,
etc.
- Enroll
for Classes
The Disability
Services Counselor will help you with the enrollment process.
