My name is Annette Lee : I am getting a Litigation Paralegal AAS Degree and a General Practice Paralegal Certificate and plan to get a B.S. from Regent University and then go on to law school. The Open Door Project put up with me as a work study until I drove them up the wall. Then they continued to put up with me. Now they say they will be glad to see me go, but I am going to fix them and stay on for another semester or so. And they will continue to put up with me!
My name is Glenda Driver: I am getting an AAS, Medical Office Secretary. The Open Door Project has been very beneficial to me during the time I have participated, and I am looking forward to great endeavors at ODU this spring semester as I work toward my Bachelors degree.
My name is Stacey Saunders: I would like to thank all the staff at the Open Door Project for all their help. I will be graduating from Tidewater Community College with an Associates in Business Administration. I will be attending Old Dominion University in the spring majoring in Accounting.
My name is Jennifer Bowser-Brown: I would like to thank Open Door for everything. You've given me support and guidance in helping me to continue my education and achieving my goals. Open Door was not just a great program for me, it was like family. Thank you Kay Williams for always taking the time to listen to me when I needed someone to talk to. You never turned me away. Thank you Meda Moore for always putting a smile on my face when I left. Thank you Chevette for helping me with my classes. I graduated from Norfolk State University with a Bachelor's Degree in Psychology in May, 2004. I would not have this degree if it was not for Open Door. I will be graduating this fall from TCC - I finally took that statistics course - with an Associate Degree in General Studies. I am currently working on my Master's Degree in Urban Guidance and Counseling. I thank God for this program. It has made me a stronger person and taught me to stay positive. You will be seeing me every semester. No, No, I will not go away. |
