LAPTOP LOAN PROGRAM

The Open Door Project is now lending laptop computers. In order to participate in the loan program you must be an active participant in accordance with the Open Door Project Participation Contract and have been active in the program one full academic semester prior to the borrowing of the laptop computer. Program participants will be allowed to borrow the laptop for a period of two days per checkout.

The purpose of the laptop loan program is to provide students with use of a computer in their home when emergency situations prevent them from accessing the open computer lab on campus. The laptops cannot be used for research purposes as the modems have been deactivated, thus preventing access to the internet. The computers can be used to type papers and do other assignments requiring database, spreadsheets, Power Point presentations, and word processing software.

Contact the office at 822-1218 for more information.
