Shackles & Chains and Ties that Bind
Local performers Amy Ferebee and Regina Sanford will portray the common threads in the lives of two uncommon women of the 19th century, one black (Francis Ellen Watkins Harper) and one white (Angelina Grimke) - both grappling with the issues of their time. This lively, interactive musical piece will be performed on each of the four TCC campuses in February.

The WAGE Project
Presented by economist Evelyn Murphy, author of Getting Even: Why Women Don't Get Paid Like Men and What To Do About It (2005)
Murphy is president of the WAGE Project, a national organization to end wage discrimination against working women, and Resident Scholar in the Women's Studies Research Center at Brandeis University.
When she was elected Lt. Governor of Massachusetts in 1986, Murphy became the first woman in the state's 210 year history to hold constitutional office.
