Sexual Assault

Sexual Assault is

  • sexual intercourse without consent, including rape (whether by acquaintance or stranger), sodomy, or other form of sexual penetration.
  • committed either by force, threat of force, intimidation, or through use of victim’s mental helplessness, which includes incapacitation by alcohol or other drugs.
  • intentionally touching, either directly or through clothing, of the victim’s genitals, breasts, thighs, or buttocks without the victim’s consent,
  • unwanted touching or fondling

When any form of sexual contact is against a person's will, it is against the law.

Most sexual assaults are perpetrated by

someone the victim knows.

It is never okay to force yourself on another person. No one ever owes sexual payment or deserves sexual assault. If you have any doubts about what your partner wants, stop and ask.
