10. It’s so easy to get started. There’s no essay required for our application. Just follow these simple steps to enroll! If you need help, TCC will extend its hours from 8:30 a.m. until 6:30 p.m. until Aug. 24, and on Aug. 25, we’re here from 8:30 a.m. until 5 p.m. Visit any campus for extra assistance to get started.

9. We promise we’ve got something you’re interested in. From health sciences to visual arts to welding to mechatronics to interior design, we bet you can find a program worth pursuing at TCC.

8. Even if you don’t know what to take in college, our academic advisors will help you figure it out. Visit an academic advising center on any campus to plan your future.

7. It’s affordable. Completing the first two years of your bachelor’s at TCC can save you over 30 percent of your total cost of education. Financial aid and scholarships can make a difference. Did you know 3 out of 5 TCC students leave with no student debt?

6. From here, go anywhere isn’t just a slogan. If you didn’t get accepted by the college of your dreams, take advantage of our transfer agreements that allow you to complete two years at TCC before moving on to William & Mary, University of Virginia, Virginia Tech, Old Dominion, James Madison University, Norfolk State University or many other in-state schools. We’ve even had students transfer to Columbia University and Cornell University!

5. We say TCC is wherever you are because it is. We have campuses in Chesapeake, Norfolk, Portsmouth and Virginia Beach. The Visual Arts Center is in Olde Town Portsmouth and the Regional Automotive Center is in Chesapeake.

4. We’re flexible. TCC has day, evening and online classes that work with your busy schedule. We also offer several degrees than can be earned entirely online. Have young children? No problem. TCC’s affordable child care, available on all campuses, is a wonderful solution. We’re even offering a scholarship that covers the cost of child care expenses for students with children between 2 ½ - 6 years of age.
