Colannas Shipyard

Colonna’s Shipyard, Inc. is a full-service ship repair facility conveniently located on deep water in the Port of Norfolk. Founded in 1875, it is the oldest family owned full service private shipyard in the United States.

Colonna’s Shipyard, Inc. offers the opportunity of a four year apprenticeship program to qualified applicants in the following trades:

• Shipfitter
• Welder
• Pipefitter
• Carpenter
• Inside and Outside Machinist
• Electrician
• Rigger
• Painter

Apprenticeship combines on the job training with college related instruction. Classes are held after working hours. Colonna’s apprentices earn competitive wages with the opportunity of incremental wage increases and bonuses.
