This one day course will teach you tips and techniques for producing an annual report that elevates how donors and other key stakeholders perceive your organization. An annual report should be your nonprofit's most important marketing tool one that it uses all year long to highlight your organization's successes. This class is geared toward nonprofits already producing annual reports as well those considering creating their first report. No matter the depth of your organization's budget or communications expertise you will learn:

 

  • The basic rules for producing a high quality report even with a modest budget
  • How to make the report a piece your audiences will want to read
  • The best ways to tell your organization's unique story
  • How to adapt your printed report to your website
  • Common mistakes to avoid

Planned Giving: Laying Groundwork for Future Gifts

This course is designed to help nonprofit organizations learn to create and direct planned giving programs. You will learn about development, marketing and public relations, finding available resources and the various types of planned gifts available. Included in the program will be a panel of professional advisors, including a planned giving officer, an estate planning attorney, and a financial planner.

Volunteer Resources Management – The Basics Class Full

Do you need the basic elements to develop your organization’s volunteer resources management?  Why re-create the wheel?  We will discuss an overview of planning, organizing, recruiting, screening, training, supervising, record keeping and evaluating for effective involvement of volunteer talents and skills.   Participants are encouraged to bring questions, challenges and examples of their volunteer program.  This course is designed for those new to the role of managing volunteers or starting up a new volunteer program.

Enhancing Board Governance (Click here for registration form)

Learn new ways to improve the dynamics between your board of directors and your organization -- particularly its executive director. Maintaining and enhancing these critical relationships are among the biggest challenges facing nonprofits. This course will help the board find ways to effectively govern and support the organization. It will also help executive directors work in tandem with their boards in order to fulfill their organizations' missions.
