Interested In Becoming A Better Trainer?

Do you have the knowledge and abilities to be a defense contract instructor, but do not have the 9502 Instructor NEC required for the job? Are you the “training guru” at your company, but have no formal instructor training?

These courses prepare individuals to apply integrated training and communication skills to the design, delivery, management and evaluation of instructional programs and courses to improve organizational training and effectiveness. Each course includes presentation skills, lesson plan preparation, and use of instructional technology. These courses meet Instructor Training requirements for defense contract instructors as set forth by the Department of Defense

MILT 5399

A two-week course designed for those who have less than 3 years experience as an instructor. Topics include:

  • Self-confidence
  • Communication Skills
  • Presentation Skills
  • Adult Learning Theories
  • Student Diversity and its usefulness
  • Classroom Management
  • Use of visual aids
  • Questioning Techniques
  • Presentation feedback and tips for improvement with video review
  • Practical Applications in a classroom environment

MILT 5400

A one week course designed for those who have more than 3 years experience as an instructor. Topics include:

  • Overview of BUSC 2001
  • Learning styles of the Adult Learner
  • Task Analysis
  • Assessing the needs of the organization and the learner
  • Lesson Plan Development
  • Written Test creation
  • Performance Test criteria
  • Practical Applications in a classroom environment
