Enrollment for FALL 2009 will begin 9 AM on July 14, 2009

The Motorcycle Rider Training Program offices are located at the Tidewater Community College Chesapeake Campus. 

Courses are held at both the Chesapeake and Portsmouth campuses.  Course location is determined by the course selected and the time of year.  Please note: Walk-in registration is available at the Chesapeake campus location.

Directions from Virginia Beach

Head East on I-64 towards Chesapeake and Suffolk. Take exit # 291B Rt. 17 towards Elizabeth City. Once on the exit, stay in the right two lanes to stay on Rt. 17 South. Go appox. 3 miles, across the "steel bridge" and at the first traffic light after crossing the bridge turn left onto Cedar Road.  Go to the second traffic light and turn left onto Bells Mill Road.  Make an immediate left onto the feeder road leading to the East campus of the college.  When you reach the gravel parking lot, bear right to the VRTP designated area.  Entrance to the office is the first door of the mobile trailer.  The above are directions to get to the motorcycle office for walk-in registrations.  If you are attempting to get to the class, the class is being held in teh Marion Whitehurst Building, room 2059.

Directions from Suffolk & Western Chesapeake

Take I-64 West towards Virginia Beach. Take exit 292, Rt 190 "to Rt. 17." At the top of the exit ramp, turn right. Go two blocks to the next traffic light.  Turn right. You are now on Rt. 17 South. Follow the directions above to TCC - Chesapeake.

To Portsmouth Campus

Directions from Southside

Head North on I-664 towards the Monitor/Merrimac Bridge Tunnel.  Take exit 8A, College Drive.  Stay straight on College Drive until it dead ends at a Y.  Bear right at the Y.  The course is on the right just after making the turn.
