Music and Entertainment Industry Certification Programs
As the business of music continues to move online, Tidewater Community
College (TCC) is taking a leadership role in educating the next generation
of music industry professionals.
TCC’s Music Industry faculty include
award winning songwriters, engineers, producers managers, producers,
artists, publishers, and music business entrepreneurs from across the
country.
In today’s trillion-dollar global entertainment economy, there are a
staggering variety of career paths for students to choose from including:
music production/engineering, publishing, management, record labels,
distribution, television, film, radio, live performance theater, industrial film
audio production, ad agencies, special events, and more.
As the 6th largest employer in the U.S, the music and entertainment industry
offers students the option to peruse over 400 unique job titles.
TCC offers 5 nationally recognized certification programs in:
Audio Technician Certification (MUSC 2000)
Master Audio Technician Certification (MUSC 2001)
Music and Entertainment Media Business Administrator Certification (MUSC 2002)
Music and Entertainment Media Management Certification (MUSC 2003)
The Art and Business of Songwriting Certification (MUSC 2004)
