The Testing, Assessment and Training Labs, through the Division of Workforce Development at Tidewater Community College, are tasked with providing both academic, distance learning testing, and "high stakes" certification exams, personality and work skills assessment, and CBT training to support the mission of life-long learning.  TCC has expanded it's services to offer proctored exams for learning institutions to include the twenty three Virginia Community Colleges as well as supporting both national and international learning institutions.

The Workforce Development Testing, Assessment and Training Labs provide information and technology training to over 15,000 full time students and nearly 1,600 on-line students.  Through partnerships with over one hundred local businesses such as: Sentera Hospitals, Stihl, Geico, local employment agencies, legal firms, and the Department of Labor Grant with all of the local shipyards, TCC provides training and skill upgrades.
