Administrative Association:
Leadership Library

As shown below, members of the Association have a growing number of outstanding resources available. The Administrative Association wishes to thank everyone involved in making these fine resources available to our members, with special thanks to Ms. Lois Radford, Ms. Ruth Harris Shumate, Ms. Mary Anne Glanzer, and Dr. Judy McMillan.

LRC Subject Guide on Leadership. Subject guides are beginning points for doing research because they provide tips for finding information such as showing examples of subject headings/keywords when using the library catalog or databases, examples of holdings, listing of databases for researching, and examples of websites that have been evaluated by the librarians or another reliable source. This Subject Guide was specifically created for the Administrative Assocation by Ms. Ruth Harris Shumate, Reference Librarian at the Portsmouth Campus.

Leadership Bibliography at TCC . This is a system bibliography of leadership books and media owned by TCC as compiled by Ms. Ruth Harris Shumate at the Portsmouth Campus. Peruse - and check out - the impressive listing of both classic and comtemporary resources on leadership.

Leadership Library at Chesapeake . This is a special collection of leadership publications - donated by Dr. Judy McMillan and maintained by Ms. Lois Radford - which are housed at the Chesapeake Campus in the Harry B. Gilbert Memorial Library. The items are also listed in the college's online catalog in the Reserve Module so they can be indexed, checked out, and kept track of. Administrators can check out items or bring food to the Chesapeake Campus lunchroom to sit and read during their lunchtime.

Professional Collection at Portsmouth . Similar to the Leadership Library at the Chesapeake Campus, this professional collection is more focused on teaching and learning, and made available by Ms. Ruth Harris Shumate at the Portsmouth Campus.

Build Your Library Collection. Request materials that you need so they will be in the library when you need them.
