TCC Governance: Internal Relations Committee
The Purpose
To review and recommend policies and procedures related to rights and responsibilities, affirmative action, due process, professional development, college wide social events, internal communication, awards and recognition. Reports to the Director of Institutional Research.
The Charge
The Vice President for Administration requests that the committee undertake the following actions in its
work in 2008-09 in addition to any that may come to the committee through the President’s
Advisory and Planning Council.
a. Assist and advise the Director of Human Resources in developing a formal Employee
Recognition Program that is consistent with state and VCCS policy.
b.
Assist and advise the Director of Human Resources in developing an online employee
orientation program that will provide new employees with an understanding of TCC’s
history, mission, organization, academic offerings and workforce development services,
and location and composition of the campuses and stand-alone centers.
