Student Ambassador Program
The Student Ambassador Program at Virginia Beach Campus of TCC provides an opportunity for students to develop their leadership skills while working directly with faculty, staff and other students. Students chosen for the program have shown either noteworthy scholastic ability as outstanding high school scholars or are returning adults, possibly first-generation, who have excelled academically and, by virtue of their life experiences, serve as positive role models.
Student Ambassadors provide assistance with our Orientation program and other campus events, and act as college-recruiting representatives in at their former high schools. The Student Ambassadors set an academic standard for other students to follow. They are closely supported through their college transfer process to senior colleges and universites. In all instances, the Student Ambassadors distinguish themselves as role models to all students, both new and returning. We encourage our Student Ambassadors to become active members of the L.E.A.P. program as well as Phi Theta Kappa National Honorary Society.
