Chesapeake Campus: Testing Center

Welcome to the TCC Chesapeake Campus Testing Center!

The primary mission of the Chesapeake Campus Testing Center is to provide institutional testing to the campus community. In addition, some workforce development testing is also available. Tidewater Community College and the Testing Center offer the following exams:

Placement/Assessment Tests

Computer Competency Exams

Dual Enrollment/Special Provisions Testing

English as a Second Language Testing

Nursing Diagnostic Testing

Proctoring Services

Proctoring services are available for campus faculty. Instructors should complete the Chesapeake Campus Testing Center Instructor Proctoring Request Form available through InsideTCC at https://insidetcc.tcc.edu/faculty/index.htm.

Special Accommodations

Instructors with students needing special accommodations for testing must also complete the Special Accommodations Request for Examination Form available through InsideTCC at https://insidetcc.tcc.edu/faculty/index.htm.

The following Workforce Development tests are also offered:

CLEP Testing

Pearson VUE Authorized Center (PVCT)

Certiport Testing

Microsoft Office Specialist Certication Training

Hours:

Monday-Thursday: 8:30 a.m. to 8:45 p.m.

Friday: 8:30 a.m. to 4:45 p.m.

Saturday: 9 a.m. to 12:45 p.m.

Students are required to sign-in not less than 2 hours prior to closing to take proctored exams and not less than three hours prior to closing to complete a placement test.

Please note: Assessment tests will not be given on the following dates due to required technical maintenance - May 27, 28, and 29, 2008; September 2, 3 and 4, 2008; and January 21, 22, and 23, 2009.
