Open Monday through Saturday, the five-story Norfolk Student Center is a 64,000 square foot building dedicated to enhancing the student experience. It includes a ground-level plaza with an outdoor gathering and dining area, as well as a public-access walkway to Granby Street and Monticello Avenue.
The Student Center hosts a variety of student organizations, programs, and events. It provides lounge and study areas, fitness and recreation areas, dining options, and child minding to TCC Norfolk campus students.
Rules and Guidelines
Students are expected to conduct themselves in accordance with Chapter 1 of the Student Handbook (Student Rights, Protections, and Policies).
Food and/or drinks, with certain exceptions, are allowed throughout the student center. Food and/or drinks are not allowed in the Multi-Function Activity Space on the fourth floor. Only capped or covered drinks are allowed in the fitness area or study rooms. Students are expected to clean up after themselves throughout the building and discard any leftover food, drinks, containers, or trash.
The student center is a tobacco-free environment. Animals are not allowed in the Student Center, with the exception of service animals.
