The primary mission of the Norfolk Testing Center is to provide institutional testing to the campus community. The Testing Center will provide a quality environment where students are encouraged to achieve to the best of their abilities, to facilitate accurate course placement, and to assure that the highest level of testing standards are maintained.

IMPORTANT NOTES FOR PLACEMENT TEST:
You must arrive at least four (4) hours prior to closing to take the placement test.  It is suggested that you take the English portion one day and the Math portion on another day.  The English portion MUST be completed in one seating on the same day.

• Check-in by 5:00 p.m. on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday

• Check-in by 1:00 p.m. on Friday

• Check-in by 9:00 a.m. on Saturday
  

No appointment needed for TCC Placement and TCC Proctored Class Exams - follow check-in hours.

Appointment required for Computer Competency, Nursing, and non-TCC proctored exams. Email norfolkcampustestctr@tcc.edu to schedule a test appointment. (Same-day appointments are not granted).

• CLEP Exam (By appointment only; call Testing Center at 757-822-1310.  Must pay administrative test fee to TCC Workforce Development Office at 757-822-1234 before scheduling appointment. Active military are exempt from CLEP exam fee, but must pay TCC administrative fee to TCC Workforce Development.)
• DANTES   (By appointment only; call Testing Center at 757-822-1310 to schedule. Must pay administrative test fee at any TCC Campus Business Office in advance and bring receipt with you to the test.)
• Pearson VUE Authorized Testing Center(PVCT)  (VUE tests by appointment only with Pearson VUE)
• MICROSOFT Certification Tests (by appointment only; bring voucher with you to test)

• Valid and current photo ID is required for all testing students. Photocopies of IDs
  will not be accepted. TCC ID IS PREFERRED.
• Do NOT bring personal items, electronic devices, and other unauthorized materials.
• Do NOT bring food, drinks, children, and visitors inside the Testing Center.
  
• All placement/assessment exams must be started four (4) hours prior to closing.

• All class proctored exams must be started at least two (2) hours prior to closing.

• Review testing guidelines and arrive early to allow sufficient time to complete your exam.
• The Testing Center will close promptly at the specified times.

PLACEMENT TEST RELEASE

To request official placement results, email Norfolk testing center at norfolkcampustestctr@tcc.edu and and request a Test Release Form.  Placement test results may be picked up from the Testing Center with the proper authorization and official photo identification.  They will not be released without this.

Proctoring services and testing for students needing special accommodations are available for campus faculty. TCC Instructors should review the Procedures for Submitting an Exam/Test and complete the online Testing Center Services Request Form available at http://www.tcc.edu/students/testingcenters/requestform.htm

IMPORTANT NOTE: Make-up exams will not be administered during Finals Week.

Only finals for student with accommodations and online/hybrid classes will be administered
during final exams week. Early finals or make-up finals are not administered in the Testing Center.
