| Expectations and Understandings |
- Current TCC students with current ID card (No exceptions.)
- We welcome walk- ins and groups.
- Students need to be prepared for the tutoring session by having read the assignments or have attempted the homework. The student needs to bring books, notebooks, and classroom notes.
- Know that your tutor will assist you in understanding the material the instructor has presented in class. TUTORS DO NOT TEACH but assist.
- Tutors can not help you with quizzes or exams.
APPOINTMENTS
- Tutoring by appointment registration will be opened the first three weeks of classes. After that date appointments will be closed. YOU CAN GET HELP AS A WALK-IN.
- Tutoring sessions last for 50 min. if your session starts at 1:00pm, it will finish at 1:50pm. It is up to the tutor or manager to continue the session longer than 50 min.
WALK- INS
- If the tutor is busy with an appointment please wait for your turn. Tutoring sessions last for 30 min.
- If you have only a couple of questions in math or if you are taking an online math course please refer to: Math Lab. Location Walker bldg. Room 3205
- If you need help with a Writing assignment please go to the: Writing Center. Location Martin bldg., 2nd floor, library LRC.
- Have you considered these strategies before deciding that a tutor is what you need?
- Ask instructor for help.
- Ask classmates for help.
- Get a study group.
