Daniel T. DeMarte

Daniel T. DeMarte is Vice President for Student Learning and Chief Academic Officer. DeMarte leads six functional areas in support of 13 academic divisions across four campuses and five regional centers including — Academic Effectiveness, Curriculum Innovation and Faculty Development, Grants and Sponsored Programs, Learning Technology Applications, eLearning, and Strategic Learning Initiatives.

Before TCC, DeMarte served as Vice Provost for Student and Learning Development at Macomb Community College in Warren, Michigan.

DeMarte earned his doctorate in higher education administration with a specialization in community college and organizational leadership from North Carolina State University. He received his master’s and bachelor’s degrees and an associate degree through the State University of New York (SUNY). A community college graduate, DeMarte began his studies at the Community College of the Air Force while serving on active duty in the U.S. Air Force in the mid-1980s.
