Linda M. Rice
Linda M. Rice is the Provost of the Chesapeake Campus.
Before becoming Provost, Rice served as the chief Academic and Administrative Officer for the Chesapeake Campus for eight years. Prior to that role, she was Vice President for Workforce Development, Special Assistant to the President for Workforce Development and Military Programs and Dean of the Division of Health Professions. In addition, she previously served as program head and faculty member for the Respiratory Therapy program at the college.
Currently, Rice serves on the Up Center Board, the Together We Can Board, the Hampton Roads Chamber of Commerce, Chesapeake Division Board and the Chesapeake Public Schools Superintendentís Planning Council.
Rice holds a doctorate from Old Dominion University, where she also received her masterís degree. She earned a bachelorís from Randolph Macon Womanís College, and took her professional training at the University of Chicago Hospitals and Clinics. Rice and her husband, Randy, have one son, Brent.
