Academic Excellence and Community Engagement Awards

Each April, Tidewater Community College hosts the Academic Excellence and Community Engagement Awards Ceremony to celebrate and recognize outstanding student achievement. These awards honor current TCC students who exemplify the core values of academic dedication and community involvement:
- The Academic Excellence Award is presented to students who have demonstrated a strong commitment to their education by achieving high GPAs and consistently excelling in their coursework.
- The Community Engagement Award recognizes students who have made significant contributions through service to the college and/or the broader community, reflecting a spirit of leadership and civic responsibility.
This event highlights the impact and potential of our student body, and the important role they play both in and beyond the classroom.
