 Stay informed: TCC Alerts Emergency Notification System

TCC Alerts (RAVE) is an emergency notification system. During an emergency, severe weather event, or other time-sensitive situation impacting the college community, TCC officials can send notifications to subscribed phone numbers, email addresses, assigned college office phones and college monitors (that are turned on). Please ensure you have updated contact information in SIS for the notifications.

TCC SAFE Mobile Application

Tidewater Community College’s TCC Safe is a mobile application developed to enhance communication and safety across all campuses. This app is intended for use by students, faculty, staff, and the Department of Public Safety to enhance the safety of our college community.

Key Features of TCC Safe:

• Crime and Suspicious Activity Reporting: Submit reports directly through the app.
• Informational Resources: Access campus maps, TimelyCare, academic counseling, and emergency contact information.
• Emergency Communication: Use the silent alert feature (Mobile Blue Light Phone) to discreetly contact TCC Dispatch with your GPS location.
• Anonymous Reporting: Submit tips or concerns without revealing your identity.
• Friend Walk, you can send your location to a friend, and they can monitor your location as you walk or drive to a location. Once there, you can let them know you arrived safely and can disconnect the location marker. You can also push an emergency button within the Friend Walk application, that sends an alert to the person you allowed to monitor your location.
