Tidewater Community College's Associate of Applied Science in Graphic Design with a specialization in Advertising Design challenges you to communicate complex ideas effectively through a variety of media, including illustration, photography and typography.

At TCC's Visual Arts Center, you'll learn how to build impactful advertising campaigns, build a brand strategy and use advanced technology to help clients stand out. Throughout your courses, you'll put the theories to the test with real-life assignments, creating campaigns and presentations.

You'll also gain insights from faculty with experience in the advertising industry.

Students graduate with the skills needed to design media for a range of products, like logos, print advertisements, magazines, trade publications and more.

The Advertising Design specialization teaches students the computer and design skills, marketing and public relations expertise needed to work in the field of advertising — as a layout artist, a copywriter, a freelance graphic designer or in marketing and sales.
