Acquisition and procurement agents are responsible for ensuring complex purchases are executed efficiently and in a cost-effective manner.

The Career Studies Certificate in Acquisition and Procurement at Tidewater Community College prepares students for employment or advancement in acquisition and procurement positions.

Course work covers contract law, pricing, negotiations and other processes. You will learn how to process requests for materials, manage inventory and troubleshoot issues with orders. Students are also instructed in the fundamentals of contract pricing and negotiation.
