As the eyes of the intelligence community, geospatial analysts examine imagery from satellites, drones and other sources to identify what may be actual threats to national security.

Tidewater Community College’s Career Studies Certificate in Geospatial Intelligence introduces you to the core functions in ArcGIS. You will develop critical thinking skills and knowledge of geography and geographic information technologies to prepare you to overcome challenges in disaster response, emergency management and military operations.

Find a career in the geospatial field as a cartographic analyst, geospatial intelligence analyst, marine analyst, nautical cartographic analysis, source specialist or in a host of other specialties related to spatial thinking. Transitioning military encouraged to apply.

Learn in the Advanced Technology Center on the Virginia Beach Campus, which houses a high performance GIS server. All TCC faculty currently work in the field.

The Geospatial Intelligence Career Studies Certificate culminates with a capstone seminar and project tailored to your interests in the intelligence community.
