You will learn in our state-of-the-art Precision Machining Lab located on the Chesapeake Campus. Inside the lab are computer numerical control mills and lathes, a surface grinder, automated measurement machines and various manual machine tools.
You will be hands-on with actual production equipment for turning and milling that you will use on the job.
Course work includes:
- machine blueprint reading
- machine shop practices
- standards, measurements and calculations
