What does this program cost?

You can complete a 2-year associate degree for less than the cost of 1 year at a 4-year college or university.

TCC’s Associate of Applied Science in Mechatronics consists of 4 semesters of full-time study, with classes held mainly on the Chesapeake Campus.

If your schedule doesn't permit full-time attendance, you may also take classes part time.

Estimated Program Cost*:
66-67 credits x $181.10 per credit = $11,952.60 - $12,133.70 (not including textbooks and supplies)
*Based on Fall 2017 in-state tuition. Your actual cost may differ.

Where can you go?

Hampton Roads is home to dozens of advanced manufacturing companies, as well as shipyards and other industrial operations.

Mechatronics graduates are prepared for work as electromechanical controls or mechatronics technicians and mechatronics technologists, and they are well qualified to work with electrical and mechanical engineers to design, construct, install and maintain mechatronic systems.

Is this program for you?

Yes, if you:

  • enjoy working with your hands
  • are interested in electricity, electronics, robotics and mechanical concepts
  • want to produce the goods and services that power today’s economy
