Regional Automotive Center

A technical education from TCC’s Regional Automotive Center (RAC) will give you the experience and expertise desperately needed by manufacturers, dealerships and repair shops across the nation.

The advanced technologies of today’s vehicles have put skilled technicians in high demand.

With programs in automotive technology, diesel technology, and collision repair, the RAC curriculum draws from a combination of in-depth instruction, hands-on work and live shop experience. Paid internships and real world work are cornerstones of the program.

COMING HERE HAS BEEN GREAT. THE FACULTY ARE ALL MASTER ASE TECHNICIANS, AND THEY REALLY KNOW WHAT THEY’RE DOING. AND THEY MAKE SURE WE LEARN, TOO. THE HANDS-ON WORK IS THE BEST PART, BECAUSE BY THE END OF EACH CLASS, WE HAVE THE SKILLS TO DO THE WORK.

The center boasts nine classrooms and 15 instructional laboratories; a four-wheel chassis dynamometer, diagnostic scan tools, three alignment machines, and all of the necessary tools and equipment to deliver instruction. Students are trained on the latest equipment at the forefront of industry trends in our 30,000-square-foot, state-of-the-art facility in Chesapeake.

In addition to low-cost tuition, TCC offers one- and two-year degrees designed to get you into the automotive workforce as quickly as possible.
