TCC Perry Glass Wheel Arts Center
The TCC Perry Glass Wheel Arts Center made its debut in Norfolk’s NEON District in September 2019. Originally the Glass Wheel Studio, the beautifully remodeled building became part of TCC thanks to the generosity of Doug and Pat Perry.
The Glass Wheel features a public art gallery that exhibits works by students and faculty of TCC, as well as that of provocative and exciting contemporary artists.
Exhibits have included:
- “Happenstance,” photography by Norfolk State University professor Sam Hughes
- TCC Art Faculty Revolving Exhibition
- “Barbara Kobylinska: Imaginary Creatures”
You can also enjoy the TCC Perry Glass Wheel Arts Center during the NEON Festival and NEON Holiday Market every fall.
The center is located at 128 W. Olney Road, Norfolk, VA 23510. Gallery hours are Thursday, 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.; Friday and Saturday, 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.; and Sunday, 12 noon to 5 p.m. Admission is free.
TCC’s plans for the NEON District include the new TCC Perry Center for Visual and Culinary Arts and Hospitality Management, a collaboration between the TCC Educational Foundation and TCC Real Estate Foundation.
It will be built on the site of the Greyhound bus station at Brambleton Avenue and Granby Street.
