When: Thursday May 5th, 02:00 pm - 03:00 pm
Description:
On May 5th at 2 pm TCC librarians, Bethany Wright and Mary Hanlin, will offer two Open and Affordable Textbook workshops via Zoom. After attending a workshop, and subsequently writing a review of any book of their choosing that is published through the Open Textbook Library, faculty will receive a $200 stipend. The workshop is one hour, and is open to all TCC teaching faculty. During the workshop we will: discuss the how OER can support student persistence, get a basic overview of OER, identify how and what content is classified as OER, and explore just a few of the OER resources available.
