TCC Theatre presents “God of Carnage”
By: Yasmina Reza, translated by Christopher Hampton.

Story: Winner of the 2009 Tony Award.
A playground altercation between eleven-year-old boys brings together two sets of Brooklyn parents for a meeting to resolve the matter. At first, diplomatic niceties are observed, but as the meeting progresses, and the rum flows, tensions emerge and the gloves come off, leaving the couples with more than just their liberal principles in tatters.

Place: The Blackbox Theatre, Chesapeake Campus Academic Building

Date: The production will run from Friday, November 2nd and Saturday, November 3rd at 7:30 PM and Sunday November 4th at 2:00 PM and the following weeks Thursday, November 8th – Saturday, November 10th at 7:30 PM and Thursday, November 15th – Saturday, November 17th at 7:30 PM.

Tickets: $10 adults and $5 students, seniors, military and alumni.

Show synopsis: Origins of Life deals with some of the most profound questions of life science: the origins of life and the human search for life beyond Earth. Starting with the Big Bang, in chronological order, the show deals with the prebiotic chemistry in the Universe, the formation of stars, formation of solar systems, and the first life on Earth. Furthermore Origins of Life covers the great extinctions as well as our search for primitive life beyond planet Earth

This program is free and open to the public. The total presentation will be approximately 50 minutes long. Reservations are required! There will be, however, a very limited number of standby tickets available at the planetarium on the day of the show. You must arrive at least 15 minutes early to guarantee your reservation. Latecomers will not be admitted.

Specifications of the planetarium:

  • The TCC Planetarium is a state of the art Digistar 5 system housed in a 40 ft dome with 88 permanent seats. It produces an all-sky image.

  • Each performance also includes a review of the night sky.

  • Wheelchair accessible (please contact the TCC Information Center for accommodations).

Show Synopsis: “This production is a laser light show, accompanied by rock music by “Metallica”.
The Laser Light Show is free and open to the public. The show will last approximately 45 minutes. Reservations are required!
