TCC TO OFFER YOUTH SUMMER SHAKESPEARE INSTITUTE

HAMPTON ROADS, Va. – (May 17, 2006) – Calling all theatre-minded teens! Tidewater Community College (TCC) has announced it will offer a youth summer Shakespeare Institute, June 26-30, at its Chesapeake Campus for students in grades 7 to 12.
This one-week program will offer students an opportunity to study and actively engage themselves in several aspects of Elizabethan and Shakespearean theatre, including history, acting and Elizabethan dance and music. The students will be treated to a behind-the-scenes look at the 10th anniversary production of Romeo and Juliet. The Institute will be held daily from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
The cost is $50 and includes a t-shirt and pizza lunch on the final day. Deadline for registration is Wednesday, June 14. To register or for more information, contact program director Ed Jacob, 822-5245.
Tidewater Community College
