TCC Takes Part in General Assembly Visits
[Three of four visits shown below]

TCC students experienced government in action with visits to members of Virginia’s General Assembly during college visit days. Every year, each of TCC’s four campus sends a contingent to meet with delegates and senators.

The first of four groups set out from the Virginia Beach Campus on Jan. 13. Students enjoyed sharing their stories and making personal connections with Virginia lawmakers and TCC Board members.

Norfolk Campus students visited with Virginia legislators and toured capital buildings on Jan. 26. They enjoyed meeting their representatives and learning about the Commonwealth’s governance.

Students from TCC’s Chesapeake Campus spent Jan. 27 in Richmond getting an insider’s view of Virginia lawmaking. The group was welcomed by delegates and senators and took part in discussions on the state of the Commonwealth and other relevant issues for students.

The final contingent from TCC’s student body departed from the Portsmouth campus on Feb. 2. They met with lawmakers for morning and afternoon sessions, learning much about Virginia’s constitution and current issues.
