Advance Tidewater | Mason
ADVANCE Tidewater | Mason is an exciting partnership between Tidewater Community College and George Mason University that gives Tidewater students targeted, personalized support to earn their bachelor’s degrees at Mason in a timely, cost-effective manner. The partnership supports streamlined pathways for programs in business, cybersecurity, computational and data sciences, and other locally in-demand fields. Students receive significant cost savings and access to additional funding for college and are assigned a dedicated coach for guidance through every step of the process.
As an ADVANCE participant, you’ll be a Mason and TCC student from day one with access to specialized advising support, tuition assistance, and the full Mason student experience.
ADVANCE Tidewater | Mason is available to students at select community colleges in Virginia who are in good academic standing and who meet these enrollment requirements:
The 30-credit limit does not include AP, IB, CLEP, or any other earned credit by exam. High school dual enrollment credit and credit earned at other U.S. or international colleges or universities apply to the 30-credit limit. Your community college and Mason have different transfer credit policies. It is important to note that your community college may accept transfer credit that Mason does not accept.
