Tidewater Community College has partnered with Parchment to manage the ordering, processing, and secure delivery of your official transcripts. Parchment offers:

All transcript orders require a credit or debit card (American Express, Discover, MasterCard, or Visa) to complete the transaction. Expedited service is available for students who have been taking courses at TCC within the previous 10 years. Using expedited service has a fee of $30.00 per transcript.

Processing Times
Standard orders are processed within five business days from receipt of the order, except orders placed on weekends, holidays, and peak times during the semester. Delivery time is not included in processing time and varies by delivery service and local area.
Expedited service: 1 business day
Expedited service may not be available during college closures (e.g. weekends, holidays).
Expedited service is not available for Virginia Department of Professional and Occupational Regulation or Virginia Department of Education.
Important tips before you begin
1. Clear any financial holds at the College before starting your order.
2. If you do not know your student ID number, please login to MyTCC to view. Transcripts requested without a student ID number, or with an incorrect student ID number, may be delayed for up to one week. Please check all information entered for accuracy. Don’t guess – verify!
3. If you have officially changed your name, please provide the name used while enrolled at TCC.
4. Before requesting your transcript, you must check your records to make sure your grades and/or graduation credentials have posted, if applicable. Transcript requests cannot be held for the posting of grades, certificates, or degree awards. If a grade or degree has not been posted before you request your transcript, you will need to request and pay for another official transcript.
5. All paper hard copy transcripts issued are official and in a sealed envelope. Do not open your transcript if you plan to send the transcript to a college or organization. An opened transcript is considered unofficial by most colleges and organizations.
6. Please check to make sure you need an official transcript before requesting one. Sometimes an unofficial transcript will suffice. Click here for directions on requesting an unofficial transcript.
7. Continuing Education transcripts should be requested through the Workforce Solutions Office.

How to request an official transcript through parchment
1. Go to Parchment’s website and create an account. If you already have a Parchment account, simply login and move to step two. If you are a current TCC student, you may click on the Parchment tile after signing in to your MyTCC account.
2. Login with your new account and click “Start by adding a school or organization you attended.”
3. Enter TIDEWATER COMMUNITY COLLEGE in the search box.
4. Follow the prompts to complete your official transcript request. After your order has been submitted, you will receive an email confirmation from Parchment. To track your order, login to Parchment.com and click “Track” under the name of your school.
How to request an official transcript in-person
To request an official transcript in-person, submit the Request for Official Transcript In-Person form at any campus and a valid student ID or government-issued photo ID to any campus Admissions and Enrollment Services office. Processing takes up to five business days. Older records, peak busy periods, or campus closures may cause delays in processing. Each transcript costs $9.75, payable to any campus Business Office. You are required to bring proof of payment when picking up your transcript.
Please note: some colleges, universities, or employers may not accept transcripts picked up by the student as official.
