Writing Assistance Centers offer free help with writing assignments and one-on-one assistance for all courses. The Writing Assistance Center is staffed by experienced writing tutors. Our writing tutors can help you with any kind of written assignment.

Writing Center consultants will help you generate ideas, organize information, develop support and evidence, and address composition issues as you draft your paper. The center can also help you with questions about grammar, citing sources, formatting a paper, or other concerns about writing assignments for any course.

• Writing Center tutors do not edit or proofread your paper. Instead, consultants will not proofread or edit your paper, but will review areas of concern and provide feedback to help you improve your writing.
• You can request assistance with your writing project at any stage. Receive help with brainstorming, developing ideas, organizing and drafting, researching, documenting sources, and using correct grammar and punctuation.
• Support for writing required in any academic program is available. Although writing tutors may not be subject-matter experts in a particular discipline, they are well qualified to help students with issues of clarity, documentation, and organization for most writing assignments.

We can also help our ESL students tackle their writing work.

Sessions are 30 minutes and available on a first-come, first-serve basis. We recommend making an appointment 1 or 2 weeks before your assignment is due!
