Students should notify their instructors in advance if possible when they will miss classes due
to illness, and students should make arrangements to make up any missed work. If unable to contact their instructors, students should notify the respective campus dean of student services who will inform the students' instructors.
Although students may be allowed some absences in each
semester, students should be advised not to use these except for emergencies.
Students are responsible for contacting their instructors immediately upon their return to school and are responsible for making up all work missed.
Instructors will judge whether students will be permitted to make up work and will decide on the time and nature of the makeup work. Communication between students and instructors is most important, and it is the responsibility of the students to initiate such communication.
