Visit TCC’s Planetarium

Want to explore the stars without the hassle of space travel? Attend one of TCC’s planetarium shows!

TCC’s planetarium, located on the Virginia Beach campus, is home to a state-of-the-art Digistar 5 System with Boxer projectors, capable of producing an all-sky image across its 40-foot dome.

Admission is free and open to the public, but reservations are required for each show. You must arrive at least 15 minutes prior to showtime to guarantee your reservation. A very limited number of standby tickets will be available.

Planetarium Christmas Program: Laser Light show and all-dome production 

Date: Saturday, Dec. 2: 7 p.m. and 8:15 pm

Show synopsis: The Laser Light show is accompanied by Christmas songs.  The songs will include “Sleigh Ride,” “Rudolf the Red-Nosed Reindeer,” “Deck the Halls,” “White Christmas,” “Frosty the Snowman,” “Carol of the Bells” and more. There will also be an all-dome presentation of the “Christmas Star”. 

The show will be approximately one hour long and includes a review of the night sky.

Parking
Park in the lot closest to the Advanced Technology Center (Building H).

Accessibility
TCC’s Planetarium is wheelchair accessible. Please contact the TCC Information Center at 757-822-1122 to arrange accommodations.

Restrictions

  • Age limits: 4 years and older. Children under 16 must be accompanied by an adult.
  • Food, drink, and chewing gum are not allowed in the planetarium.
  • Latecomers will not be admitted; exit and re-entry are not permitted.
