Step 1 – Become Familiar with TCC Systems

Log in to myTCC to check for any holds on your account.

Student Information System (SIS): The SIS provides details regarding your class schedule and the location to make or check your payment status.

Student Gmail Account: Once you apply to TCC you will be issued a TCC student email. You can locate that email account through the MyTCC Portal. TCC will send important reminders through this account, so check it often.

Canvas: TCC utilizes Canvas for delivery of online course content. Online classes will become available in Canvas by the first day of a class session.

Refer to the email you received after applying for your student number, username, and instructions for accessing your account. If you have trouble accessing your account, please contact us at 757-822-1111 or at info@tcc.edu.

Step 2 – Arrange to pay for your tuition

As a visiting student, there are two ways to pay for your classes at TCC:

  • Pay your balance in full through the Student Information System or set up a payment plan
  • Use financial aid awarded by your home institution—Cross-registration allows you to use your financial aid from your home institution to cover the cost of your tuition at TCC. Work with your home institution’s financial aid office to initiate the process. Cross-registration paperwork should be submitted to any TCC Enrollment Office.

Visit our Academic Calendar for upcoming tuition deadlines.

Step 3 – Get ready for classes

Get your TCC student ID card – please wait at least 24 hours after registering for classes to get your student ID card. This can be done at any of the campus Student Centers. Bring your valid state-issued ID card along with your student ID number.

Purchase your textbooks and materials at the Barnes and Noble bookstore online or on the Virginia Beach campus.
