Tourism is among the top three industries in Hampton Roads, and businesses are eager to please tourists and business travelers. If you have a people-first mentality, Tidewater Community College’s hospitality management program can prepare you for a fulfilling career in the lodging industry.

As a student pursuing a Career Studies Certificate in Lodging Management Trainee, you’ll take courses in hospitality management and law, accounting for small businesses, hotel front office operations and executive housekeeping.

What does this program cost?

TCC’s Career Studies Certificate in Lodging Management Trainee consists of 2 semesters of full-time study, with classes held mainly at the Virginia Beach Campus.

You may also take class part time.

28 credits x $185.35 per credit = $5,189.80 (not including textbooks and supplies)

Where can you go?

Graduates are prepared for management trainee programs in the lodging industry, including guest services, sales, assistants in hotels and motels and other comparable careers.

While you may find immediate employment, you can apply your credits toward TCC’s 66-credit Associate of Applied Science in Hospitality Management.
