There’s something universally appealing about growing things. They connect people with the natural world, and help us understand the beauty of plants, trees and even the foods we eat.

If you are a plant person, turn your passion into a paying job with TCC’s Career Studies Certificate in Plant Production.

You will learn the basics of plant growth and development, pest management and how to manipulate the growing environment. Discover the art and science of plant propagation and the culture of seasonal greenhouse crops.

What does this program cost?

TCC’s Career Studies Certificate in Plant Production consists of 4 semesters of part-time study, with classes held mainly on the Chesapeake Campus.

24 credits x $185.35 per credit = $4,448.40 (not including textbooks and supplies)

Where can you go?

Use your credits toward TCC’s Associate of Applied Science in Horticulture or find work in greenhouses, garden centers, nurseries and other retail and wholesale business settings.
