Cyber Security Center

Mission Statement: The Cybercenter at Tidewater Community College is intended to disseminate cyberdefense information into the local, regional, and national cyberdefense community of interest. This includes information on cyberdefense resources, career opportunities, conferences, programs of study, scholarships, partner organizations, faculty contacts, student activities, and certifications.

National Security Agency and Homeland Security Seals

The Cyber Security Program is designated as a National Center of Academic Excellence in Cyber Defense (CAE-c) for Two-Year schools (NSA-CAE-c) by the National Security Agency and the U.S. Department of Homeland Security.

Since its inception, TCC’s network security/cyber security curriculum has been aligned with national standards for cybersecurity established and maintained by National Institute for Standards and Technology (NIST) and NSA. Read more

TCC is a long-standing member of the National CyberWatch Center, a national consortium of colleges and universities focused on cybersecurity education.
