Free TCC information session on starting a business on April 7

Tidewater Community College will host an information session for those interested in starting their own business on April 7 at 3:30 p.m. at the Joint-Use Library room L-102 on the Virginia Beach Campus.

The session, which is free and open to the public, is sponsored by Launch Hampton Roads, Opportunity Inc.’s grant to provide entrepreneurship training under the U.S. Department of Labor’s Workforce Innovation Fund.

Classes will begin April 28. Free training and support in areas that include business planning; sales and marketing; accounting; website and social media development; and finance and credit will be offered. Services also include mentoring, networking, special events and specialized training in areas such as federal contracting.
