L.E.A.P. workshop series coming to Virginia Beach Student Center

The Office of Student Services on the Virginia Beach Campus will present a Leadership development • Education transfer • Advising • Preparation (L.E.A.P.) workshop series during the spring semester under the theme “7 Habits of Highly Effective People.”

All workshops are from 12:30 p.m. to 1:30 p.m. in the Virginia Beach Student Center, Room K302.

Marilyn Hodge, dean of student services, Virginia Beach Campus, will conduct the inaugural session on Feb. 6 exploring the themes in the book “7 Habits of Highly Effective People.” This workshop prepares students for a change in mindset and introduces the universal and timeless habits of effectiveness.

The Feb. 25 workshop, titled “Be Proactive: Principles of Personal Vision,” will be conducted by Michael Summers, provost of the Virginia Beach Campus.

The March 25 workshop, titled “Begin with the End in Mind: Principles of Personal Leadership,” will be conducted by Daniel DeMarte, vice president for academic affairs and chief academic officer.

The April 8 workshop, titled “Put First Things First: Principles of Personal Management,” will be conducted by Bruce Brunson, executive director, Center for Military and Veterans Education.

The April 29 workshop, titled “Think Win/Win: Principles of Interpersonal Leadership,” will be conducted by Chuck Lepper, vice president for student affairs.
